Recruit, manage and retain newly hired PMETs

P-Max is a Place-and-Train Programme that aims to help SMEs recruit, train, manage and retain newly-hired PMETs through the adoption of progressive human resources practices.

How can you benefit:

    • P-Max for Older Workers
    • P-Max Lite

1. P-Max and P-Max for Older Workers

  • Recruit a PMET: Job-seeking PMETs will be screened and matched to suitable positions in your organisation
  • Attend the following workshops:
    1. SME workshops: Supervisors of the SMEs to learn progressive HR Practices
    2. PMET workshops: Learn how to better acclimatise in SMEs
    3. Age Management Workshops: Learn to pick up Age Management Practices. Only applicable for P-Max for Older Workers
  • Receive Post-Training Follow-up: Upon completion of the workshops, the appointed P-Max Programme Managers will follow up with the newly trained PMET and their supervisors over a six-month period (not applicable to P-Max Lite)

2. P-Max Lite

  • Attend the SME Workshop: Non-hiring SMEs interested in building up their human capital capabilities within their organisation can send their SME supervisor(s) to attend the SME workshop


Subsidies and funding:

1. P-Max and P-Max for Older Workers

  • Receive up to 90% course fee subsidy for the P-Max workshops. For P-Max, only Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident are eligible for the course fee subsidy. For P-Max for Older Workers, PMET must be a Singapore Citizen aged 50 or above to be eligible for the course fee subsidy
  • Upon the successful completion of the respective workshops, six-month follow-up and retention of the newly-hired PMET, you will be eligible for a one-off $5,000 Assistance Grant or one-off $10,000 Assistance Grant (for SMEs under P-Max for Older Workers). The Assistance Grant is capped at S$5,000 or S$10,000 (for SMEs under P-Max for Older Worker) regardless of the number of PMETs hired & retained under P-Max. Companies that have completed P-Max/Max-Talent previously will only receive $5,000 under P-Max for Older Workers

2. P-Max Lite

  • Non-hiring SMEs can receive up to 90% course fee subsidy (SMEs under P-Max lite will not be eligible for the assistance grant)

Eligibility criteria:

  • Your organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • At least 30% of your organisation’s local shareholding must be held by Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Your organisation’s employment size must not exceed 200 (at group level), OR your organisation’s annual sales turnover (at group level) must not exceed S$100 million
  • You must have hired a PMET within the last 3 months (i.e. 90 days) prior to enrolling into programme, offering a gross monthly salary of at least S$2,500. Not applicable for P-Max Lite
